[Class 52 (ii)] Seating fabric 5 is secured to a deck chair or like seat by passing the hemmed end 7 through a narrow slot 6 opening out into a recess on'each side to accommodate the dowel or rod 8 subsequently inserted in the hem. The slot may be formed in a single bar 2 or a pair of closely spaced, preferably cylindrical, bars may be used.
