Abstract

487,567. Knock-down seats. AKSE, H. Oct. 8, 1937, No. 27362. Convention date, Oct. 14, 1936. [Class 52 (ii)] A knock-down arm-chair comprises separate side frames with arm rests, and a separate seat portion 3, the front of the seat having pegs 7 engaging in sockets in the side frames and the rear of the seat resting on lateral projections 6 of the' frames, while pegs 8 on a separate back-rest 4 engage in sockets 10 on the side frames. The side frame may comprise parts 1 forming the back leg and foot, merging into parts 2 forming the front leg and arm rest, with a stiffening member 5, the top of the front limb of which forms the socket for the front peg on the seat. The seat and back-rest may be of woven cane &c. on a metal framework, or of wood or metal.
