Abstract

515,871. Fluid-actuated valves. VINCZE, S. I., July 4, 1938, No. 19809. [Class 135J [Also in Group XXXIV] A valve device comprising a main valve actuated by a doubleacting piston under the control of an auxiliary valve has the auxiliary valve operatively connected with the plunger of an oil pump adapted to deliver a quantity of lubricant to the slide valve for every reciprocation of the latter. The casing of the main valve which is without stuffing boxes is provided with two control conduits leading to ports 9d, 9e on the auxiliary valve casing which has a supply port 9b and two exhaust ports 9c connected by a passage 9c'. The auxiliary valve 9 which is formed as a hollow piston valve is actuated by a rod 9f and has a tubular extension 10 adapted to act as a pump plunger. A loose-ball suction valve 11 is arranged at the lower end of a passage leading to a lubricant reservoir 14, and a loose-ball 12 delivery valve is arranged within the valve to control the discharge of lubricant through ports 13 to an annular chamber surrounding the valve.
