512,493. Suspending conductors. WISEMAN, A. and SIMMONS, W. March 10, 1938, No. 7509. [Class 36] In a trolley wire suspension fitting of the kind wherein the trolley wire is carried by an insulator mounted on a body 3 which is connected to a suspension wire by arm 2 angularly adjustable about its point of attachment to the body to enable the relative vertical positions of the suspension wire and the trolley wire to be varied, the arm and body are held together by a screw 5 and are locked in their adjusted positions by mating teeth or serrations 4 formed on the abutting faces of the two parts. The abutting faces of the body and arm are preferably arranged in the central longitudinal plane of the fitting. In the construction shown, the end of the body remote from the arm 2 is formed with a lug 9 which is bolted to a lug 8 provided on a socket 7 encircling the end of a wood or other insulating coupling member 6 for connecting two similar trolley wire suspension fittings.
