512,436. Fluid-pressure brakes. BOSCH GES., R. (formerly BOSCH AKT.-GES., R.). March 3, 1938, No. 6639. Convention date, March 3, 1937. Addition to 493,330. [Class 103 (i)] The invention of the parent Specification is modified by providing the delay valve with a piston 40 against which bears the spring 38 of the delay valve 37. When the spring 38 has yielded and allowed the valve 37 to open and admit fluid from the pipe 26 from the driver's valve to the pipe 28 leading to the tractor brake cylinder the piston 40 is subject to this pressure and thus lessens the effectiveness of the spring and the pressure necessary to maintain the valve open need not be so great.
