[Class 82(ii)] [Also in Group XL] An article is coated with an alloy by exposure in a highly evacuated vessel to vapour produced by passage of high frequency sparks between two or more electrodes formed of the required alloy. The electrodes may be water-cooled. Resistances may be formed by deposition of manganin on carriers of amber, lacquer, quartz, glass or ceramic materials.
