504,168. Pipe joints. AUDLEY ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and LEACH, E. B. June 23, 1938, No. 18638. [Class 99 (i)] A flanged pipe joint has means for supplying thick lubricant to an annular groove or grooves in one or more of the joint faces. A spacing member c between the flanges b has a supply chamber g and a transverse passage f leading to the grooves e. The lubricant may be supplied by a screw plug, and a check valve may be provided between the supply chamber and the grooves.
