Abstract

495,987. Semi-rotary pumps. MORRIS, C. Aug. 16, 1937, No. 22460. [Class 110 (ii)] A water-pumping apparatus, applicable for fire-fighting in confined spaces, comprises a semi-rotary pump A contained within a water tank B, and operated by a handle C. The discharge pipe e communicates with an air vessel D to secure uniform delivery of water from a nozzle F<1>. The tank is provided with handles b, and may also have straps b<6>. An extension B<1> is provided for a seat or a step to be held down during the pumping. In a modification the discharge pipe communicates with the vessel D within the tank B. The pump and vessel D may be bolted to a vertical plate within the tank B. The inlet pipe a may be fitted with a strainer.
