Abstract

493,443. Forced - flow steam boilers. LA MONT STEAM GENERATOR, Ltd. April 1, 1937, No. 9334. Convention date, April 1, 1936. [Class 123 (ii)] In a forced-flow boiler having radiation and convection heated tube groups 5, 10 in different temperature zones, the water is circulated by pumps 2, 3 which draw from a steam and water drum common to both tube groups. The pumps may have a common driving shaft, and two pump rotors may have a single casing, the deliveries being regulated by valves. The pump delivery pipes may be so connected that when one pump fails the other pump may deliver to both tube groups.
