347,963. Critical pressure boilers ; feedwater supply apparatus. HUNTEMœLLER, 257, Lindenstrasse, D³sseldorf, Germany. July 1, 1930, No. 19987. Convention date, July 2, 1929. [Class 123 (ii).] Surplus steam is led off from a critical pressure boiler 1 through a valve 9 operated by a thermostat 11 in the boiler drum 4, and the steam is condensed without substantial loss of pressure and returned to the boiler by a pump 38. The surplus steam passes through coils 27 in feedwater heaters 24, from which water is drawn and forced into the boiler by a pump 39. The pumps 38, 39 may consist of the final and initial stages of a multistage centrifugal pump.
