Abstract

484,636. Adjustable seats. BRIGGS MANUFACTURING CO. May 26, 1937, No. 14615. Convention date, May 28, 1936. [Class 52 (ii)] An adjustable seat A is mounted to slide on arcuate tracks 17 mounted on upright supports 12, the seat being provided with curved channel-shaped guides 21 adapted to receive and co-operate with the track. The track 17 comprises a channel strip secured to the top edge of a sheet metal support 12, and the guides 21, Fig. 5, are secured to the frame members 18 of the seat, the flanges of the guides 21 being turned under the tracks 17. Rollers 23 within the guides run on the tracks 17. Locking mechanism comprising a rocking shaft 29 operated by a handle 29a, Fig. 2, a crank member 30, Fig. 5, links 31 and 33 and latch members 32 engaging notches in the tracks 17, may be provided.
