Sliding seats.-In a sliding seat of the kind wherein the seat and back are hinged together and are capable of adjustment by the occupant, while seated, the sliding seat member 1 is supported in the rear on metal bars 2 attached to the sides of the frame, and engaged on two sides by recessed metal fittings 5 on the underside of the seat. Metal strips 6, 7 may also be provided, and the back may have metal plates 13 working against metal fittings 11 on the transverse back rail or on the sides of the framework.
