Abstract

481,003. Delivering packets &c. from a pile. JENKINSON, H., and JENKINSON, Ltd., H. June 16, 1937, No. 7122. [Class 18] The bottom article or packet in a pile is delivered through an opening 5 in the front of the container or carton holding the pile by means of a slide 3, the rear end of which carries a metal plate 7 with an upstanding, vertical lip 6 to engage behind the bottom article. A T-shaped portion 8 cut out of the slide and bent down rims in a slot 9 in the platform supporting the slide, so that the latter cannot be completely withdrawn. In a modification, the slide has a rearward extension which projects through a slot in the back wall of the container and by which the slide is pushed instead of being pulled. A carton may hold several piles of articles, each pile having its own delivery outlet and being separated from its neighbours by vertical partitions.
