Abstract

896,106. Powder dispensers. AVON PRODUCTS Inc. Aug. 13, 1959 [Oct. 9, 1958], No. 27737/59. Class 18. A device for storing and displaying samples of powdered materials, e.g. face powder, comprises individual containers 10 each having powder dispensing openings 16 and a holder 11 for the containers, there being wedge shaped guide means 26 on the holder shaped to cooperate with a part 18 of each container 10 to guide the containers into a position in which the holder closes the openings 16, as shown in Fig. 3. The holder comprises a box 11 with a lid 12, the front wall 22 of the box having a series of U-shaped protrusions 28 on its inner side adapted to be received into U-shaped depressions 17 formed in the front of each container 10 to close the holes 16. Each container has a wedge shaped depression 18 at its rear end into which takes a protrusion 26 on the floor of the holder to guide the container into position. The containers are transparent and have caps 15.
