Abstract

463,193. Corsets &c. LIGHTNING FASTENERS, Ltd. Sept. 23, 1935, No. 26325. Convention date, Sept. 29, 1934. [Class 141] In corsets, body belts, &c. having an opening extending from one edge and closed by a sliding fastening, the opening is provided with a flap underlying the fastener and attached on one of its edges to the garment along the whole length of the opening ; the lower portion only of the other edge of the flap is attached to the garment and takes lateral strains when the fastener is fully open. The flap 9 is secured along its edge 10 by the same stitches as secure the fastener strip, while the lower part of the other edge is secured by a row of stitches 13 in zigzag form, the row deflecting at a part 16 which is normal to the line of strain when the garment is removed, and then returning at 15.
