Abstract
456,239. Fuel - injection pumps. AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS CO., Ltd., Brock House, Langham Street, and TRAPP, G. J., 105, Aylward Road, Merton Park, both in London. Nov. 6, 1935, No. 30707. [Class 102 (i)] A fuel-injection pump 10 has a feed pump 12 arranged in its casing and both pumps are driven by the shaft 11 which is driven from the shaft 13 through a freewheel clutch 14 arranged so that the shafts 11, 13 always assume the correct phase relationship. The pumps may be actuated independently of the shaft 13 by a handwheel 15 or a bar inserted in the holes 20. Alternatively the shaft 11 may have a ratchet wheel fitted and driven by a pawl fitted on a lever. Fig. 4 shows a further modification in which a worm wheel 28 on the shaft 11 may be driven by a worm 29 on a shaft 30 which is moved axially to put the worm into engagement with the wormwheel and is moved by the spring 33 to disengage the parts. Specification 242,921, [Class 102 (i)], is ieferred to.
