454,694. Vehicle wheels. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., 32, Osnaburgh Street, London, and GOODYEAR, C. E., and SHARP, G. E., c/o Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., Foleshill, Coventry. Oct. 12, 1935, No. 28208. [Classes 144 (i) and 144 (ii)] A resilient wheel comprises a rim 1 yieldingly secured to a load-carrying brake drum 2 by means of a plurality of axially compressed rubber blocks 3, fitted between members 16 secured to the rim 1 and recesses formed in the faces of clamping members 5, 6, secured together by bolts 11, the members 5 being secured to the drum. The yielding elements may also be composed of alternate layers of rubber and metal bonded together.
