Abstract

292,844. White, A. E., (Budd Wheel Co.). Nov. 25, 1927. Disc wheels. - A vehicle wheel of the kind having two tyre rims has each tyre secured to laterallyspaced parts of one disc 2. The rimsecuring parts 6 are secured by means of studs and spherically faced nuts 8 to the same side of the disc and are hollowed out and shouldered at 9, 10 where they engage the faces of the corrugations &c. The brake drum 12 may be secured to an inner part of the corrugations or to a flat part of the disc if the corrugations do not extend to the hub. The edges of the corrugations may be inclined or parallel to imitate spokes.
