447,261. Knitted fabrics. DUBIED & CIE SOC. ANON., E., Neuchatel, Switzerland. Sept. 10, 1934, No. 25989. Convention date, Feb. 27. [Class 74 (ii)] A machine-knitted fabric having different yarn formations on each face is characterized in that on one face of the fabric are stitches 1 each of which is formed on one or more needles and in that on the other face are stitches 2-3 each of which is formed on a greater number of needles, the latter or wider stitches being passed over to the stitches of smaller width. Fig. 7 shows a fabric embodying an unknitted weft thread 4 which is inserted between the wider stitch and the narrower stitch before the former is passed over to the latter. Specification 430,623 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a fabric wherein, within rows of stitches, rib stitches and loops of twice usual width and more, alternating in patterning order on one face of the fabric, are transferred to rib stitches of smaller width on the opposite face and knocked over with same whilst locking a weft thread. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
