L., Netherton, Herington Grove, Hutton Mount, Essex, and DELLREAD GEARS (HOLDINGS) CO., Ltd., 2, St. Ann's Lane, Great Peter Street, London. Oct. 31, 1934, No. 31229. Addition to 413,802. [Class 80 (i)] The gear claimed in the parent Specification is provided with an axial pressure device arranged between the planet carrier 3 and the driven shaft 9. In the form shown, this device takes the form of balls 12 located in depressions 11 in the carrier and in a flange 10 on the shaft 9. The reaction to the thrust on the carrier 3 is taken through a thrust bearing 16 on to a ring 15 supported through springs 14 by the adjusting ring 7. The carrier 3 and shaft 9 are spigoted together at 13. The coupling* 11, 12 may be replaced by a simple coupling with inclined teeth.
