440,583. Fuel - injection pumps. CASSANI, F., Este, Padova, Italy. Nov. 12, 1934, No. 32573. Convention date, Oct. 8. [Class 102 (i)] In a fuel-injection pump the plunger 10 controls the suction ports 11 and discharges through the valve 12. The plunger 10 is attached to a member 14 engaging a lever 17 oscillated by the cam 23 and fulcrumed on a pin 18. A wedge 7 stops the delivery stroke of the plunger and is adjusted by a cen trifugal governor 3 the spring loading of which is varied by the pedal 1. When the wedge stops the plunger 10, further movement transmitted by the cam 23 is taken up by permitting the fulcrum pin 18 to move against the loading of the spring 21.
