427,245. Nozzles for vacuum cleaners. FORSALJNINGS AKTIEBOLAGET VOLTA, 2, Norrmalmstorg, Stockholm.-(Assignees of Elektriska Aktiebolaget Volta; Stockholm) Aug. 7, 1934, No. 22860. Convention date, Aug. 5, 1933. [Class 8 (i)] In a suction nozzle of the type comprising a suction conduit 11 surrounded by a plate 13 carrying several pin-like projections 14 on its under surface adapted to contact with the surface to be cleaned, the part of the plate immediately adjacent the mouth of the conduit projects below the general level of the plate, but out of contact with the surface to be cleaned in order to increase the velocity of the air stream at this part. This may be effected by a bead or rim 15 or alternatively the plate is curved downwardly towards the conduit mouth.
