428,002. Vacuum cleaners. ELECTROLUX, Ltd., Luton.-(Assignees of Inventia Patent - Verwertungs-Ges. ; 10, Herrenacker, Schaffhausen, Switzerland) July 16, 1934, No. 20803. Convention date, July 18, 1933. [Class 8 (i)] A suction nozzle for vacuum cleaners comprises a connecting pipe 15 flattened out to form a head 18 which is provided with a peripheral suction opening 22 and rows of bristles 23 arranged on each side of, and coextensive with, the said suction opening. The bristles are preferably inclined outwardly to diverge from the suction opening and clamped between lips 17, 21. Additional suction openings 25 may be provided on the flattened faces of the head 18.
