425,892. Oil engines. HERCULES MOTORS CORPORATION, 201, 11th Street, South East, Canton, Ohio, U.S.A. June 24, 1933, No. 18092. Convention date, Feb. 3. [Class 7 (iii)] A rectangular passageway P having its top wall continuous with the lower face 29 of the cylinder head leads air tangentially from the cylinder 14 into a lateral combustion chamber Cc of spherical or other symmetrical form, and fuel is injected through a nozzle 82 towards the passageway. The combustion chamber is formed in removable liners 75, 76, and the passageway P by a flat portion 79 of the liner 76 and notches 80, 81 in the cylinder 14 and cylinder block 15. A glow plug 95 is provided for starting purposes. Specification 426,125 is referred to.
