423,221. Cold accumulators. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militarstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. June 21, 1934, No. 18334. Convention date, June 24, 1933. [Classes 29 and 64 (iii)] In the cooling of beer or other liquid by circulating the beer and a vaporizable refrigerating medium through intercalated coils 17, 15 embedded in a metal cylindrical block 20, the block is surrounded by a cold storing medium having a freezing point above 0‹ C., e.g. benzol. The beer and refrigerating medium may be circulated intermittently, the flow of refrigerant being controlled by a thermostat 26 immersed in the benzol which on melting switches on the compressor motor 11 of the refrigerating apparatus. The metal block 20 may be provided with ribs 21, 22 extending into the cold storing medium.
