Abstract

407,372. Hydraulic transmission of power. CAMPBELL, D., 7, Beech Avenue, Glasgow. Sept. 16, 1932, No. 25749. [Class 69 (ii).] A hydraulic power transmitter of the same general arrangement as is disclosed in Specifications 361,342 and 367,241, has its casing A formed of two sections jointed in a plane passing through the axis of the driving and driven shafts, and the driving shaft bearings D are situated in recesses in the casing and the hub of the driven shaft. The impeller blades R, the turbine blades P, Q, the guide blades W, the return guide vanes C<1>, and the ring H<1> may be made integral with their supports, or separate. and suitably attached thereto. A serrated bush B<1>, elbow pipes G<1> for drawing off and returning a portion of the liquid, and guide vanes pivoted at F <1> and hinged at E are provided.
