406,896. Pneumatic tyres. FINLAYSON, V. C., 52, Stanger Street, Durban, South Africa. June 6, 1933, No. 16221. [Class 144 (ii).] A detachable tread-band adapted to fit into a groove in a tyre cover comprises a rubber wearing-surface 3, a canvas &c. foundation 3<a> having transverse corrugations 5 to engage corresponding corrugations 4 in the base of the groove, and spaced tongues 8 to engage recesses 9 in the tyre. Wire or like reinforcements 7 may be fitted at the edges of the tread-band.
