[Class 144 (ii).] The tread of a pneumatic or solid tyre is formed with a pair of ribs having interfitting V-shaped parts 7 leaving a single continuous groove 4 along the tread. Open half-conical recesses 6, with or without tongues 9, may be formed in the parts 7.
