[Class 144 (ii)] A pneumatic tyre for heavy-traction vehicles is formed' with sets of ribs 12 extending obliquely from each side 'of the tread and intersecting. to produce V-shaped formations at each side of the tread centre-line, the intervening grooves 13 being at least as wide as the ribs and the height of the latter being at least as great as their median transverse width.
