[Class 135.] A plug cock for hydrocarbon pipe-lines &c. has between the conical plug 1 and its conical seating in the casing 2 a gasket 4 of cork or cork compound secured either to the plug or to the casing. The gasket may be in two parts, arranged respectively above and below the valve passage. As metallic contact surfaces are avoided, a light alloy may be used for the cock.
