Abstract
401,943. Washing-machines. KRAUSS, F. E., 3, Wildenauerweg, Schwarzenberg, Saxony, Germany. March 14, 1933, No. 7693. Convention date, March 22, 1932. [Class 138 (ii).] A washing-receptacle is rotated by the descent of liquid raised above the receptacle by a continuously-driven pump. In the form shown in Fig. 2 a rotary receptacle b is driven by a bucket chain C" supplied by a motor-driven pump e through a pipe f<1>. In Fig. 3 the buckets bl form the periphery of the receptacle and in Fig. 4 they are constituted by compartments into which the liquid falls. In another construction, Fig. 5, there are only two compartments and, in order to prevent dead centring, the receptacle is intermittently held in the tilted position by a latch g automatically and periodically released by a Bowden cable connection with the motor drive.
