Abstract
393,702. Alternating, current motors. COLLARO, C., 111, Sutherland Avenue, Maida Vale, and COLLARO, Ltd., Culmore Works, Culmore Road, Peckham, both in London. Feb. 22, 1932, No. 5297. [Class 35.] Induction motors; cores. -A salient pole motor having only alternate poles wound, has the unwound poles not integral with the yoke 1, and adjacent poles are close together so that the rotor is wholly or substantially enclosed by the pole-faces. In the form shown, the poles are all shaded and are separated by magnetic or non-magnetic pins 8 which wedge the separate poles 6 in position. Adjacent pole tips may touch or be slightly separated. The motor shown has a squirrel cage rotor 10, but for synchronous motors a permanent magnet or other type of rotor would be used.
