Abstract
Steel suitable for articles to be subjected to heavy wear such as rails, tyres, sheet piling, harbour walls, &c., contains less than 0,2 per cent of carbon, 0,7-1,6 per cent of manganese, 0,08-0,25 per cent of phosphorus, and less than 0,6 per cent of silicon, with or without 0,2 - 1 per cent of copper, or up to 1,5 per cent of chromium, or both.
