Abstract
384,100. Hydraulic transmission of power. BEAUMONT, J. M., Dogley Villa, Fenay Bridge, near Huddersfield. Dec. 23, 1931, No. 35507. [Class 69 (ii).] In hydraulic transmission devices, a vaned member f with a braking ring e<2> disposed between the halves of a divided casing e, is interposed between the driving and driven vaned members b, d. The vanes of the driving and intermediate members are inclined and/or curved, and those of the intermediate member may be adjustable. The vanes of the driven member may be parallel to the axis, inclined, or curved. A positive clutch may be provided, and the member d may be slidably mounted on its shaft and acted on by a spring.
