Abstract

360,681. Hydraulic presses. EATON, M. M., 18, Brearley Street, Birmingham. Nov. 15, 1930, No. 34475. [Class 69 (ii).] A hydraulic press comprises a pair of relatively movable cylindrical parts each provided with a gap between its ends to accommodate dies or other tools. In one form, gaps d, e, Fig. 2, are provided in a cylinder a and ram b, and a platen f is secured to the cylinder with or without a platen g secured to the ram. In another form, a movable cylinder a and sleeve j, Fig. 5, work on a fixed member h. A double-acting form comprises a fixed tubular member k, Fig. 6, secured to cylinders a, rams b connected by a frame m, and platens f secured to the member k.
