360,415. Road vehicle opening tops. TAYLOR, L., Langley Cottage, Langley Road, Lower Penn, Wolverhampton. Aug. 1, 1930, No. 23181. [Class 108 (i).] A road vehicle is provided with a longitudinal opening in the roof having a covering which is capable of nesting or folding into a recess or pocket in the rear part of the roof which is adapted to be folded or swung down at the rear of the body. The folding rear quarter c having assisting telescopic springs d is provided with members c<1> adapted to butt against the rear pillars a and to be locked by latches e. A cross member f is provided with a recess into which the hoop-sticks q together with the folded cover p may be withdrawn. The roof opening is provided with guides n mounted on wooden members j secured to the cantrails by bolts and to a channel member g. The hoop sticks q are provided with runners r and the front hoop-stick has a spring bolt s adapted to enter any one of a number of apertures s<1> in the members j. The runners and guides may be of any form.
