358,098. Heating water. SOUTH METROPOLITAN GAS CO., CHANDLER, D. and THOMAS, J. S. G., 709, Old Kent Road, London. July 3, 1930, No. 20242. [Class 64 (i).] In a water &c. heater 4 a heatconducting block 1, above a burner 5, extends into the water space of the heater and is provided with passages 6, preferably inclined at an angle to the axis of the block, through which the water circulates. A baffle 7 is provided to separate the rising hot water from the descending cold water. The heater is surrounded by refractory material 8 to prevent dissipation of heat.
