354,164. Hydroplane propelling plant. COUZINET, R. A. A., 3, Boulevard de Levallois-ProlongÚ, Ile de la Grande-Jatte, Levallois-Perret, Seine, France. July 1, 1930, No. 13910/31. Divided on 352,243. [Class 114.] In hydroplanes 1 normally driven by an air screw 2 there is provided an auxiliary propulsion and steering means consisting of an engine 3 which drives a pump 4 delivering through a conduit 7 and pipe 8 outboard to provide a jet propulsion. The pipe 8 may be rotated upon its axis for giving a steering or reversing action and it may be lifted so that it is within the hull and the opening closed by the closure plate 10 when not in use.
