Abstract

353,797. Lawn-mowers. PUGH, Ltd., C. H. and BULL, G. F., Whitworth Works, Tilton Road, Small Heath, Birmingham. Oct. 24, 1930, No. 31938. [Class 6 (ii).] Roller chains, particularly the clutch or other drive chains of motor lawn-mowers, are tensioned by the curved edge 8 of a hook, crank, or other offset 7 from a plate 1 adjustable by bolt and slot means on the framing 3. The edge 8 bears upon the chain rollers. A second offset 7a may be provided at the other end of the plate to 'engage the other chain run if the direction of drive is reversed. The offset need not be symmetrical relatively to the centre line of the plate 1.
