Abstract
340,020. Crank linkages. WERNER, K., 108, Eibacher-Hauptstrasse, Eibach, Nuremberg, Germany. Sept. 18, 1929, No. 28347. [A Specification was laid .open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 24, 1930.] [Class 80 (iii).] The crank shaft A of a loom is driven at a varying speed by means of a belt pulley or gear wheel D which revolves at a uniform speed on an eccentric bush B loose on the shaft but prevented from rotating, the wheel D being connected by a flexible link F with an arm E secured to the shaft A. The mechanism may be duplicated, the variation due to one part being added to the variation due to the other, the gear wheel D may be eccentrically adjustable, and the eccentric bush B may consist of one eccentric bush within another so that its eccentricity can be varied. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the link F may be rigid or may be replaced by a block W and guide slot V, Fig. 8 (cancelled) and that the bush C may be on a separate shaft E, Fig. 13 (cancelled) in line with but eccentric to the shaft A. This subject-matter does . not appear in the Specification as accepted. Specification 272,516, [Class 80 (ii), Gearing, Variablespeed &c.]. is referred to.
