Crank linkages.- A mechanism for imparting a variable velocity to a shaft, particularly applicable for driving kinematograph apparatus, comprises a driving-shafts a with a fixed crank l, the pin of which engages a slotted arm m on an intermediate shaft b which at its other end carries a similar crank n engaging a slotted rim o on the driven shaft c. The shaft b works in a bearing g carried by a plate h adjustably clamped between two members e, j which carry the bearings d, i for the driving and driven shaft respectively. The shaft c may be made the driving-shaft.
