331,762. Disc Bar Mills, Ltd., and White, E. A. Sept. 17, 1929. Disc and like mills.-A mill for grinding paints, inks &c. comprises a hopper 5, a rotating disc 1 and a stationary block 4 mounted in the framework of the mill with one face resting against or near to the rotating disc. The disc may be mounted eccentrically on a shaft. The material from the hopper 5 falls on to the rotating disc and is ground between the disc and block. The ground material is removed from the disc by a scraper 6 and the block 4 is adjustable and may be placed above the horizontal axis of the disc. The contacting surfaces of the disc and block may be smooth, grooved, toothed &c.
