Printing-surfaces.-A printing-roller or printing-plate for printing paper, felt, textile fabrics, &c. is provided with a number of apertures to receive removable plates bearing engraved or etched designs, the surface of the plates being continuous with that of the roller or main plate. This construction allows of ready alteration of the designs on the roller or plate. The removable plates may themselves be provided with apertures to receive still smaller plates.
