Stencils; stencil-printing apparatus.-A stencil 7 is attached to the cylinder 3 of a rotary duplicating machine by making pliable at and below its top edge the backing sheet 8 usually associated with the stencil sheet and forming a heading therefor, this pliable part when bent over forming a hook 9 adapted to engage an edge 5 provided on the cylinder 3. As shown, thin pliable strips 11 of sheet metal are glued or otherwise fixed between the backing sheet and a layer of covering paper 12. Alternatively, one strip of metal stretching over the whole width of the sheet may be used.
