Abstract

230,345. Ellam, F. July 30, 1924. Stencilling-apparatus. - Relates to stencil duplicating-apparatus of the kind in which the stencil m and sheet of paper k are placed on a bed b, and a strip of silk mounted in a frame d is allowed to rest on the stencil, the silk being charged with ink by means of an inking-roller. According to the invention, the bed b is provided with a resilient pad or pads e consisting of strips of indiarubber inlaid in the bed, and projecting ridges f on the frame d are adapted to engage the pads and clamp the stencil and paper to prevent creeping as the inking-roller is passed over the silk. The silk j is glued to a frame h held in a recess g in the frame d by turnbuttons, the frame d being attached to the bed b by hinges c.
