Spray burners.-In an oil burner of the pressure type the vaporizer comprises a mixing-chamber 10 formed by two conical members 5 and 6 each having an integral nozzle extending into the chamber 10. The entry nozzle 9 projects into a recess in the solid head 14 of the nozzle 13, with outlet slots 15, to form a restricted passage. Oil from a tube 20 is thinned in the nozzle 9 bv heat from steam or hot air entering from the tube 21, is thrown into the chamber through the restricted passage in a thin conical jet and atomized by the steam or hot air, the atomized fuel then passing through the slots 15 and tube 22 to the burner head 23.
