320,261. Wade, H., (Alliance Toy & Specialty Co.). Nov. 8, 1928. Shears.-Shear blades 5 are operated by movement of a handle 12 in a plane at right-angles to the plane of the blades, which are pivoted by rivets 6 to spring arms 3 on the stationary handle 2 and slotted to receive loosely a pin 8 which engages a hole x in the actuating handle 12. Collars 9, 10 on the pin engage the upper and lower faces of the blade to prevent their separation, and this engagement is maintained, due to the tilting of the pin, even when the parts are worn. A spring 15 is attached directly to the blades and assists the action of the spring arms 3 in opening the blades.
