Securing against unauthorised removal. - In a device for securing a nut against t unauthorised removal, a cover placed over the nut can only be removed by the aid of a key. A cylinder 6, containing plates 7 to engage a key is mounted in the upper end of the nut to be secured and carries on its lower end an eccentrically placed pin 9, engaging the latch 11. The nut is first screwed into place, the cover 13 is placed over, its surface 14 closely engaging the cylindrical portion 1 of the nut, and the key 8 placed through an opening in the top of the cover. When the key is turned, the barrel 6 revolves with it and the latch 11 engages the face 16 of the cover. The end of the latch may be bevelled as shown dotted at 19 to enable the cover to be placed on with the latch in the locked position.
