Abstract

278,586. Goss, C. A. N. March 14, 1927. Locks, pin - key; screw fastenings. - Plugs 1, 2 closing petrol and oil tanks 3, 4 are locked by a bar 8, which is passed through a ring 17 on the plug 2 and into a casing 5 attached tc the plug 1, a nut 6 in the casing 5 enga,ging the screw-threaded end of the bar 8. A bush 12 holding the nut in position has grooves 14, 13 to receive a projection 15 on a sealing cap 16. When the cap 16 is removed a key 10 may be introduced to engage a projection 11 on the nut 6. The bar 8 has a square end engaging the square slot in the ring 17, which may be secured direct to the tank 3 if the plug 2 is not available.
