Abstract

299,656. Legradi, T. Feb. 14, 1923. Stoppers with valves.-A sprinkling closure for bottles &c., composed of cork, glass, porcelain, or other non-metallic material through which the liquid to be sprayed is exclusively conducted, comprises a stopper b adapted to be placed on the normally unrestricted neck f of the bottle &c. and formed with a central spraying aperture a from which proceeds an obliquely disposed channel d which coacts with an obliquely disposed groove g in the neck portion, the stopper being rotatably connected to the neck by an encircling ring c. A projection on the ring engages in a groove l in the neck to limit the rotation of the stopper. The closure may be detachable from the bottle, the ring c, Fig. 5, taking the form of a metal cap formed with a flange which is made resilient by vertical slits i extending across an annular indentation h adapted to engage in a groove k in or beneath the lip of the bottle neck.
